Reus

I left Sevilla May 18th to head to Santiago de Compostela. Now I’m sitting here in Santiago de Compostela in a guy named Jon’s house who I met through couchsurfing.com.

He might be the smartest person I’ve ever met. He’s a theoretical physicist working for the University of Santiago de Compostela. Basically, he gets paid to go to an office and do math to figure out how the universe works using stuff like string theory. He’s great though, and excellent cook. The night after I got here his friends from Colombia and South Africa came over and made dinner for everyone. It was really fun. Tomorrow night Jon and I are going to try to cook octopus, so we’ll see how that goes.

Oh yeah, and the title of this blog- if you fly into Rues airport via Ryanair to get to Barcelona, it’s worth it to pay the 5 euro to go see the city of Reus, it’s like a little Barcelona only cleaner and more family friendly. Great day trip.

Miss you all at home. Keep on keeping on.

  1. Hi David, Anne set up her computer for me to read your blogs. It sounds like you are having a great time and will have stories to tell for the rest of your life! I arrived on Monday, May 18th and will be returning to PA on Sunday. Graduation was very nice. They were calling for rain, but thank God, we didn’t get any at Red Rocks. Anne was the last group to be called, so it was a long night, but it was great to see Anne receive her diploma. We are currently cooking up a storm for her party. Please take good care of yourself. Miss seeing you coming/going in Highlands Ranch. Love, Maryanne
